BAINBRIDGE ISLAND - MAY 30, 2006 - American Marine Bank (AMB) has awarded seven new scholarships to students in local school districts through the AMB Scholarship Program. AMB's program includes a $500 award for each year of the selected student's 4-year term. For 2006 contributions, the bank will award new scholarships totaling $3,500 and previous year's scholarships totaling $7,000.

"Through the educational component of our annual giving program, we've been offering scholarships since 1997. With escalating tuition costs, it's important for American Marine Bank to assist outstanding students with a portion of their educational costs," said Rex Townsend, President and CEO of American Marine Bank. PORT ANGELES, WA - JANUARY 27, 2006 - American Marine Bank (AMB) hosted the Port Angeles Chamber After Hours Mixer on Thursday evening, January 26th. The event coincided with the branches 1-year anniversary in the downtown Port Angeles Safeway. Due to limited space at the branch, the event was held at the Carnegie Library, in conjunction with the Clallam County Historical Society.

KINGSTON, WA - JANUARY 13, 2006 - American Marine Bank, Kingston Branch Manager, Debbie Anderson presented Kingston Sharenet and Food Bank with a contribution totaling $560. In December, the Kingston branch promoted their intention to donate $20 toward the local charities for every new checking account opened during the month. As a result, the branch opened 28 new accounts.

"We know the 2005 holiday season has been a tough one for giving and we were hoping to find a way to get our community involved in donating," said Debbie. "Kingston is a tight-knit community and we look for ways to support the organizations that work so hard for us."

Earlier in 2005, American Marine Bank assisted local non-profits in disaster relief efforts by setting up accounts for Tsunami and Katrina relief funds.
